I have a dream...
2:34 AM

Ever thought of what have you achieved in life? I do... And I am sad to say that I have achieved nothing in my 26 years of life. I saw a blog of my friend, Long-ge, recently and his profile wrote, "Hitting the big 30 in a few yrs time and I still can't figure out what I want to do." Bro, you summed up my feelings as well.

Steve Jobs became a self-made millionaire at the age of 24. Some people might say you can't compare with people such as Steve Jobs and USA is such a big place, which means more opportunities. True to an extent, but with the advancement of technology, isn't the world getting flat? Doesn't it mean opportunities are everywhere? It's just a matter of whether you manage to hop onto a particular bandwagon or better still, controlling the bandwagon. I dream of starting a business. A business with either my close friends or my baby or a combination of both. I mentioned to Long-ge about this before and he highlighted to me his biggest worry - money might erode our long-standing friendship.

It is somehow true that when friends get into business, their friendship will be on the line. Normally, nothing of this sort will happen if the company is successful unless people are greedy and are not happy with their share of dividend. Problems mostly come when the going gets tough. I do have a naive way to answer Long-ge's worry - "just make sure we are damn successful!" Naive because no one can guarantee success, more so in business context, and it is easier said than done. In any case, I haven't really get to speak to my kakis about the possibility of starting a business and I don't even know the nature of the business that I want to be in. We shall talk about this over coffee someday. In the meantime, I shall continue to....

dream......
